For the fifth consecutive year, RBC Capital Markets has been named Canada's leading underwriter of equities and bonds in the Financial Post league tables, published January 27. Focusing on bookrunner as opposed to lead manager mandates - considered a clearer method of calculation - the Financial Post cited the firm's 169 corporate and government transactions, which raised in excess of $26 billion. Corporate debt activity was particularly strong, with 65 deals in 2002. In the Financial Post cover story detailing the results, RBC Capital Markets CEO Chuck Winograd was quoted as saying "The results are a testimony to all of our professionals, their dedication to their clients and the faith the clients have in us. |
