Team RBC Joins the Fight to Battle Rare Cancer - Cycle for Survival 2018

2018 marked RBC’s 6th year of participation in Cycle for Survival, a high-energy stationary team cycling event to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the fight against rare cancer.

2018 marked RBC’s 6th year of participation in Cycle for Survival, a high-energy stationary team cycling event to raise money for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the fight against rare cancer.

Team RBC participated in 7 events in New York, Chicago, Greenwich, DC and Paramus, representing businesses across Capital Markets and Wealth Management. Nearly 100 employees cycled, raising over US$170,000 for rare cancer research. Overall, the 2018 Cycle for Survival campaign raised over US$39 million, and encompassed 34,000 participants and 7,600 bikes in 16 cities.

Cycle for Survival is not just a high-energy indoor team event, it is one of the world’s fastest growing athletic fundraisers, growing exponentially in size and fundraising total each year. Since Cycle’s inception in 2007, the event has grown from one Equinox cycling studio in New York City to rides in 16 cities across the US. Over US$180 million has been raised for rare cancer research to fund over 100 clinical trials and research studies.
