James joined RBC Capital Markets in 2012 as our European consumer staples analyst. He started covering the consumer sector in 1999, where he gained extensive experience at RBS, Espirito Santo Investment Bank and Credit Suisse. Prior to this, he covered the food retail sector from 1993-1998 at ABN Amro and Credit Suisse. He has been highly ranked in external surveys for coverage of both the food retail and consumer staples sectors. James has a BSc in Engineering from Reading University and a qualification as a chartered account.
