Canadian Provincial Outlook

Canada’s economic expansion is entering its ninth year and growth is becoming more balanced across the country. Since RBC Economics’ December Provincial Outlook, the view on economic growth has been upgraded in several provinces in the wake of stronger-than-expected data — most conspicuously in Quebec where growth continued to surprise to the upside in 2017. This RBC Economics Research report focuses on Canada’s outlook by province and what our forecasts indicate for Canada’s largest industries, unemployment rates and immigration.
