Fred Boehler
President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Boehler was promoted to President & Chief Executive Officer in December 2015 after serving as Americold’s President & Chief Operating Officer since March of 2014. Mr. Boehler originally joined Americold in February 2013 as our Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
Prior to joining our company, Mr. Boehler served as an SVP with SUPERVALU, Inc., a leading grocery retailer and wholesaler supplying more than 4,300 stores. Before the move to SUPERVALU, Inc., Mr. Boehler spent 10 years in senior leadership roles, culminating as the Senior Vice President, Logistics & Purchasing at Borders Group, Inc., where he oversaw Distribution Operations, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Planning, and Purchasing. Mr. Boehler also spent a decade in senior logistics management roles with Newell Rubbermaid.
Mr. Boehler holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Science & Operations from Wright State University, and a Master’s in International Business from Northern Illinois University.
