RBC, in partnership with City National Bank, held the RBC GranFondo Silicon Valley, the newest addition to RBC’s recreational GranFondo cycling circuit. On June 23, riders of this inaugural event experienced a challenging 75-mile course through the heart of Silicon Valley, climbing into the majestic red woods and descending into the rugged coastline.
We are excited to have partnered with four youth-focused Bay Area nonprofits on the event:
Registrants of the GranFondo Silicon Valley Ride had the opportunity to make a flat donation or fundraise on behalf of one of these fantastic charities.

North America’s largest ride is like no other. From leafy Stanley Park, Vancouver, riders cross the iconic Lions Gate bridge to travel along the world-famous, beautiful Sea-to-Sky highway as it dips itself in the Pacific ocean before rising slowly up to the lofty perch of Whistler. First with the views of the Sunshine Coast and then framed either side by jaw-dropping mountains, the scale is as epic as the challenge itself, with riders taking in 1900m of total elevation before crossing the finish line.
The 2018 Gran Fondo Texas routes takes riders through the scenic Sam Houston National Forest to the town of Richards. From Richards you'll ride past picturesque pastures with bluebonnets and grazing cattle on your way to the historic town of Anderson. The route to and from Anderson will have just enough elevation to help you get ready for the BP MS 150.
