The RBC Capital Markets Pathways for Women in Finance Scholarship is awarded to talented penultimate and pre-penultimate students interested in a career in financial services and banking who are undertaking the finance major within the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Bachelor of Business.

Our Spring Insight Programs are designed to give you an understanding of the types of roles, departments and careers that exist within the Royal Bank of Canada. Over the course of 2 days, you will receive training, watch presentations from our senior leaders, complete case studies, meet our recent graduates, and network. The programme will cover Global Investment Banking, Global Markets (Sales, Trading, Structuring, Solutions, DCM, and more) and Wealth Management.

Through the programme you will build your skills and develop an understanding of the type of career you would like to explore at the Royal Bank of Canada.

Our Summer Analyst and Associate Programs are designed to give you a sense of what you would be doing, day-to-day and give you a unique insight into how the firm operates - working closely as a team on live projects. These placements should be considered as extended evaluations, as students who collaborate to win as one team are considered for full-time employment.

Our Hiring Process

 

1. Online Application

Submit your resume and application online. Include your unique skills and experiences, such as being multilingual, living or traveling abroad, and relevant club or extracurricular activities.

 

2. First-Round Interviews

If you’re selected for a first-round interview, we’ll arrange a 30-minute meeting by phone or in-person. These meetings help us assess your technical abilities, interpersonal skills, long-term potential and cultural fit.

 

3. Final-Round Interviews

If you are successful at the first round interview stage you will then be invited back to our office or to a virtual meeting for final assessments. This will also be an opportunity for you to assess if RBC is the right fit for you.

 

4. Employment Offer

An employment offer is also a time for you to consider your options. We want you to be as excited as we are about you and your future with RBC!
