Nitin Babbar is Global Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) with primary responsibility for the Canadian ECM business, while maintaining a global perspective on the ECM business. Prior to assuming the role of Global Co-Head of ECM, Nitin was responsible for building RBC’s convertible business globally while being integral to overall ECM activity. Nitin brings over 25 years of industry experience and re-joined RBC Capital Markets in 2007 after spending 8 years managing institutional money in both New York and Toronto. Nitin has a diverse background across the capital markets business, with history in trading, derivatives, corporate finance, and ECM.
Nitin was formerly the co-chair of the RBC Capital Markets Canadian Diversity Leadership Council. Nitin graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce, holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder.
Joseph Passaro is Co-Head of U.S. Equity Capital Markets and Global Head of ECM Syndicate. Joseph joined RBC Capital Markets in 2023 and leads investor education efforts while spearheading global equity deal execution. He also manages direct communication with investors and oversees the bookbuild process for all equity offerings at RBC. Prior to RBC, Joseph held senior roles at Goldman Sachs, BTIG, and Deutsche Bank, managing key capital-raising transactions across multiple sectors. Joseph graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. He is based in New York City and is known for his expertise in equity markets and commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
