RBC is thrilled to announce that professional golfer Shane Lowry has joined Team RBC as the newest brand ambassador. Lowry, one of the world's premier golfers, brings a distinguished career and deep connection to RBC's flagship tournaments to an already exceptional roster of elite talent.

With nearly two decades of golf sponsorship success, RBC has built a world-class portfolio of tournaments and athletes that embody excellence, leadership, and community engagement. The addition of Lowry who is a 2019 Open Championship winner, three-time Ryder Cup competitor, and two-time Olympian, further strengthens RBC's position as a premier partner in professional golf.

A champion's journey

Lowry's path to professional success began in his hometown of Clara, County Offaly, Ireland, where he developed his passion for the game. After a remarkable amateur career, he announced himself on the professional stage by capturing the 2009 Irish Open as his European Tour debut. Over his 13-year career on the PGA TOUR, Lowry has accumulated 33 top ten finishes and three tournament wins, culminating in his crowning achievement: the 2019 Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland.

Beyond the PGA TOUR, Lowry has represented his country with distinction. He competed in both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games and has been a cornerstone of Europe's Ryder Cup teams in 2021, 2023, and 2025. Most recently, he secured a decisive half-point for Europe against Russell Henley at Bethpage Black in 2025, underscoring his value as a teammate and competitor.

A natural fit

Lowry's partnership with RBC is far from coincidental. For years, he has been a dedicated supporter and competitor in RBC's marquee events. Since 2017, he has competed in every RBC Canadian Open, with a runner-up finish in 2019 at Hamilton Golf and Country Club just weeks before his Open Championship triumph. He has also maintained a consistent presence at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, South Carolina, with three top-ten finishes in eight appearances.

"RBC’s reputation as a top, global financial institution and unwavering commitment to golf is something I deeply admire. Throughout my career on the PGA TOUR, I’ve seen how their insight and expertise makes them a partner I can trust as I establish and grow my legacy for me and my family. I’m thrilled to be the newest member of Team RBC and am proud to represent their brand on TOUR."
