RBC Capital Markets presents the third-annual Bubble Hockey Night for SickKids

RBC Capital Markets recently acted as Presenting Sponsor of the third-annual Bubble Hockey Night for SickKids. Our employees, clients, and other generous members of the community suited up at Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens) in Toronto to play in a fast-paced bubble hockey tournament for a great cause: the SickKids Foundation.

In total, more than 300 participants played in the tournament – over 80 of which were proudly representing Team RBC.  Cheering on competitors were a number of celebrity guests, including RBC Olympian Jennifer Botterill, NHL alumni Al Iafrate and Paul Coffey, and voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Joe Bowen. Katie Taylor, Chair of RBC and SickKids Foundation’s respective boards, participated in the evening’s opening ceremonies with Colton – a hockey enthusiast and hospital patient ambassador.

Once the “ice” had cleared, the event had raised over $290,000 (up from $230,000 the year prior) to directly benefit SickKids Foundation's highest priority needs.
