RBC Race for the Kids returned to Sydney on 30 July supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney.

Sydney delivered gorgeous winter weather for the first in person RBC Race for the Kids since 2019, supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney (RMHC Sydney).

This year’s Race raised over A$80,000 to help RMHC Sydney provide a home away from home for sick and injured children and their families. More than 800 families a year depend on Ronald McDonald House in Randwick to provide a warm and welcoming place to stay and a supportive and understanding environment.

Over 300 participants, including children who have stayed at the House and their families, the general public and RBC employees and their friends and families took part in this year’s event.  Starting at inner-city Metcalfe Park, the course wound along beautiful Sydney harbour with views of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and city skyline. The stunning race route was a firm favourite with all participants whether they were running, walking, on their scooter, pushing a pram or strolling with their four-legged friend

RMHC Sydney and RBC hosted the family fun run as part of the global RBC Race for the Kids series. To date, RBC Races have attracted more than 360,000 participants worldwide who have collectively raised over C$82 million for youth charities around the globe.

“The RBC Race for the Kids is an annual highlight for us all, and this year was extra special as it returned in person for the first time since 2019. It was wonderful to see so many people at RBC Race for the Kids and raising funds to support our long-standing partner, Ronald McDonald House Charities Sydney, whose work is vital in supporting sick and injured children and their families.”

Since the event began in Sydney in 2014, the family fun run has raised over A$600,000 for local youth charities. Thank you everyone who supported this wonderful event.
