Trade for the Kids @ Home

A virtual celebration of our culture of philanthropy and volunteerism

Having a sense of community unites us and makes us feel as though we are part of something greater than ourselves. That is why each year we come together to participate in RBC Trade for the Kids, an annual celebration of our culture of philanthropy and volunteerism.

This year our Global Markets employees united with a never-been-done-before virtual RBC Trade for the Kids @ Home event, where we donated US$4 million to over 45 youth-serving charities around the world! This donation is in addition to the CA$1.5 million we donated to support Black youth, the economic development of Black communities and social and racial justice reform.

Since launching in 2015, RBC Trade for the Kids events have taken place around the world in our trading locations in Canada, the U.S., the UK and Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, and the Caribbean. To date, the initiative has benefited more than 90 charity partners with over US$15.2 million in total donations!

“During times of need, RBC recognizes that charities and non-profit organizations are particularly vulnerable. Through RBC Trade for the Kids, our employees and clients have the opportunity to directly engage with our charity partners, and learn of their involvement in our communities and how they can help make a difference. We are thankful for the invaluable work and immeasurable efforts our charity partners continue to put in, especially during this pandemic, and are also thankful to our employees and clients for their tremendous ongoing support.”
