RBC colleagues in Sydney rolled up their sleeves for Ronald McDonald House Randwick’s ‘Home for Dinner’ program and prepared a meal for the families staying at the House. This gave guests valuable time to relax and spend time with their young patient family members instead of worrying about what to cook and who would cook it.

Executive Officer, Simone Daher explained why corporate volunteer programs are vital to the delivery of this kind of community service.

“In 2017, 836 families benefited from our Home for Dinner program. That equates to around 3,680 people and we expect that this year will be no different. The impact that having dinner cooked by groups like yourselves for our families,  is a wonderfully positive one in so many ways.”

Ronald McDonald House Randwick is RBC Australia’s main corporate charity partner so we’re proud to support them through the Home for Dinner program, RBC Race for the Kids Sydney and the recent global RBC Trade for the Kids. Together, we are making a difference.

RBC is committed to helping clients thrive and communities prosper so events like this form part of our global corporate citizenship program. Alongside our economic impact, RBC aims to also create positive social change and in 2017, we contributed over CAD$121 million globally to more than 6,700 organizations. In addition our colleagues donated hundreds of thousands of their own hours for charitable causes around the world.
